It is interesting to see what different people latch onto in the series, and it shows how rich it is, that there are different interpretations and ways of enjoying it. I can see the argument for the pre-Rufferto material, with it being more of a pure swords-and-frays comedy, but I like the later stuff that gets more ambitious and complex. The moralistic stuff has to walk a fine line, as it can occasionally get a bit too preachy, but when it works, it's great, and I think this issue handles it really well. But luckily, there's almost always a story full of frays and erring an issue or two away.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13867868039166531163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882610517765002247.post-61335997274107160522012-12-17T01:13:40.803-06:002012-12-17T01:13:40.803-06:00I find it interesting how different people like di...I find it interesting how different people like different things about the Groo comic. For me, I prefer the pre-Rufferto Groo, and I dislike the more moralistic issues such as this one. To each his own :).kipperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05986436534528705471noreply@blogger.com
