What makes it district is the presence of magic and subversions of some of the above-mentioned cliches and plot conventions. Ultimately, it's not that good, but it's perfectly satisfying entertainment.Strannikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09561207510297423737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882610517765002247.post-87851372552761712572008-07-22T09:23:00.000-05:002008-07-22T09:23:00.000-05:00Ah, cool. That's a series I've seen recommended from several sources, so I'll have to check it out sometime.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13867868039166531163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882610517765002247.post-36169198504971801212008-07-22T09:11:00.000-05:002008-07-22T09:11:00.000-05:00That Kujibiki Unbalance thing is a spin-off of th...That Kujibiki Unbalance thing is a spin-off of the Genshinken manga that Del Rey finished a little while back. The latter was about a club for otakus in college, discovering how to be comfortable in their specific Japanese variant of nerdity, and Kujibiki Unbalance was a made up manga they would read and comment on occasionally. Genshinken I liked a whole lot--that said, Kujibiki Unbalance was always supposed be a hard-core favorite of the characters, so it might end up being the most derivative shonen in the whole world, and partly by design.

If in doubt, go with Genshinken, an approachable 9 volumes. Also, I could be wrong.hcduvallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08271032072494870642noreply@blogger.com
